If you are planning to move to Canada then you no longer have to be fully vaccinated. The government of Canada will end the requirement of vaccination for outbound & domestic travelers, transportation workers, and employees of the federal government on 20 June.
The end of vaccination necessary shows an enhancement in the health situation of the public in Canada said Canada’s officials of government. Approx. 90% people of in Canada have been vaccinated and cases of COVID-19 have decreased.
The current vaccination mandates are required at the border because the coronavirus continues to spread all around the world and the risk of infection is covered by the country. Canadians who are not fully vaccinated are required to be quarantined and tested while traveling.
For passengers and crew of ships, vaccination requirement is still mandatory. Wearing masks and other health measures are still required on planes and trains.
The possibility of requirements of vaccination will reimpose if the health situation of the public calls for it said the government of Canada.
In spite of that, experts are putting questions about the effectiveness of vaccination requirements for travelers due to the emergence of omicron. Theresa Tam the chief officer of public health in Canada said the more contagious variant needs a third dose for effective protection.
To be fully vaccinated travelers have to take two doses of the approved vaccine of COVID-19, or travelers can take one dose of Johnson & Johnson.
The random testing of COVID-19 at all airports will also be ended by the government of Canada between 11 June and 30 June. Those travelers who are not vaccinated will still be tasted on site. From the start of 1 July, all testing will be completed off-site.
