Canada invites CEC candidates in the latest Express Entry Draw

Canada has held another Express Entry Draw after issuing invitations to PNP candidates. On March 18, the IRCC invited 5,000 candidates who have an express entry profile under the Canadian Experience Class.

CRS Score Requirement

CEC candidates required a minimum CRS score of 449 points in this draw. So, all those candidates who are eligible for the CEC and have at least 449 points can apply for Canadian Permanent Residence.

Canadian Experience Class

Canadian Experience Class is an immigration program listed in the express entry system. Canada recognizes the efforts of talented foreign workers who help in the economic growth of the country. Thus, the government has a separate immigration program for people who are already working in Canada. Foreign skilled workers with at least one year of Canadian work experience can apply for a permanent resident status through the CEC immigration program. IRCC invited 27,332 CEC candidates in the draw held on February 13. And after that draw, the ministry did not conduct any CEC-specific draw. It is only on March 18 that IRCC issued 5000 invitations to candidates belonging to the CEC category. As per the data gathered by the IRCC, almost 77 percent of immigration candidates in Canada qualify for the Canadian Experience Class. And since Canada has applied travel restrictions, IRCC is issuing a large of invitations to CEC candidates. Immigration candidates who are currently living in Canada as temporary residents have a wonderful opportunity now to transit to permanent residents.
