Canada has approved a coronavirus vaccine that is created by Pfizer and BioNTech Manufacturing. Health Canada validated the distribution of this vaccine on 9th December.
So, Canada is now all set to start one of the largest vaccination campaigns. Also, there are several terms and conditions that Pfizer and BioNTech have to follow.
Canadian Prime Minister has also stated that around 30,000 doses of vaccine will arrive in the country in the upcoming week and another 249,000 by the year-end. As of now, Canada is now a leading country with the number of vaccines it has secured considering the per capita basis. Canada has already 7 contracts with companies that are working on vaccination and by now it has secured around 414 million vaccination doses.
Immigration is one of the top priorities for Canada as it needs new immigrants to support economic revival post the pandemic. So, vaccination will help to pursue its aim of welcoming a large number of immigrants in 2021.
