PNP – (Provincial Nominee Program)
The province and territories of Canada operate their own PNP. However, the provincial nomination is not the same as permanent residence status, but it increased the chances of getting PR status in Canada from IRCC. There are over 80 PNPs in Canada through which potential candidates can obtain permanent residency. Candidates can apply directly to the province or through a profile of Express Entry.
In addition, candidates with Express Entry profiles can receive the provincial enrollment and add 600 points to their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. The highest scoring in CRS can increase the chances of receiving ITA from IRCC.
The latest Express Entry draw was conducted on 8 June and there are 932 PNP candidates invited to apply by Canada with a minimum CRS score of 796. It was the biggest PNP draw since 2 March when Canada invited 1,047 PNP candidates.
