British Columbia PNP invites skilled workers & entrepreneurs, i.e., this week, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) issued new Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to skilled workers and entrepreneurs seeking provincial nomination.
Candidates were targeted across two key provincial immigration categories, reflecting BC’s focus on attracting both skilled talent and entrepreneurial investment.
Draw Results
On October 2, the BC PNP held draws through the following categories:
- Skills Immigration
- Entrepreneur Immigration

A total of 485 invitations were extended across both categories.
So far in 2025, British Columbia has issued 568 invitations under its Skills Immigration category and 86 invitations through its Entrepreneur Immigration category.
Skills Immigration Draw
This was the first time since May 8, 2025, that BC invited skilled workers through its Skills Immigration category.
Under this draw, candidates were invited if they met one of the following eligibility requirements:
- Criteria 1: Held a minimum wage of $90/hour or $175,000/year, with a job offer under NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3.
- Criteria 2: Had a minimum score of 140 points under the BC PNP scoring system.

In total, 474 skilled workers received invitations in this round.
According to BC PNP, future Skills Immigration draws may consider factors such as:
- Education
- BC professional designation
- Language proficiency
- Occupation
- Work experience
- Wage and skill level of job offer
- Regional settlement intent
- Strategic priorities that address labour market needs or government initiatives
Note: Under Canada’s National Occupational Classification (NOC), jobs are classified from TEER 0 (highest-skilled) to TEER 5 (lowest-skilled) based on required Training, Education, Experience, and Responsibilities.
Entrepreneur Immigration Draw
Alongside the Skills Immigration round, BC also held its seventh Entrepreneur Immigration draw of 2025 through the Base Stream.
A total of 11 invitations were issued to entrepreneur candidates.

To be considered for this stream, applicants needed to meet or exceed a minimum registration score of 115. All selected candidates surpassed this requirement.
Additional eligibility requirements for the Entrepreneur Immigration Base Stream include:
- Personal net worth of at least $600,000
- Business experience within the last 10 years:
- 3 years as a business owner-manager
- 4 years as a senior manager
- 1 year as a business owner-manager plus 2 years as a senior manager
- Ability to invest a minimum of $200,000 in the business
- Language proficiency at CLB 4
- Post-secondary education credential
- At least one-third ownership of the business (or 100% if using education in place of business experience)
- Commitment to establish or acquire and grow a business in BC
- Creation of at least one full-time job for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
Note that applicants who do not meet the business experience requirement may provide proof of an eligible educational credential as an alternative.
