British Columbia: Skills Immigration Registration System
To apply for the immigration streams of the BC PNP, a candidate must register himself or herself under the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program. Then, a candidate has to create a profile through the online portal in either of the categories – Skills Immigration or Express Entry BC. Immigration candidates who apply to the BC PNP through the Skills Immigration and Express Entry categories get points as per their profiles. The SIRS considers human capital and economic factors to give points to candidates.Immigration applicants get points based on the following factors:
- Candidate’s qualification, work experience, and language proficiency
- Skill type of job offer
- Location of employment
- Minimum wage
Express Entry BC
British Columbia has a stream that is directly linked to the federal Express Entry system. It is the Express Entry British Columbia stream. Applicants can apply for provincial nomination under the following categories of the Express Entry BC:- Skilled Workers;
- International Graduates;
- International post-graduates
