British Columbia is becoming another popular province for new immigration candidates after Ontario. The province has now held its first Provincial Nominee Program draw of 2021 on 5th January.It has issued 168 invitations through the two streams of the B.C. Provincial Nominee Program. These are:
Express Entry British Columbia; and
Skills Immigration.
These two immigration streams of the BC PNP are further divided into four sub-categories: International Graduate, Entry-Level, Skilled Worker, and Semi-Skilled. In each category of EEBC and SI streams, candidates required a minimum provincial score in order to receive an invitation. The minimum scores required were:
EEBC: Skilled Worker, 99
EEBC: International Graduate, 99
SI: Skilled Worker, 95
SI: International Graduate, 95
SI: Entry Level and Semi-Skilled, 77
How to apply for British Columbia PNP?
First, register yourself under the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) of the British Columbia PNP. Then, create a profile through the online portal in either of the categories – Skills Immigration or Express Entry BC.Candidates who apply through the Skills Immigration and Express Entry categories of BC are given points based on human capital factors as well as economic factors. You receive an invitation from British Columbia on the basis of your profile and the points you score.
