On August 10, British Columbia invited 51 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination.
Invited candidates have work experience in technology occupations. And the province issued invitations to them under the BC PNP Tech.
The BC PNP Tech belongs to the B.C. Provincial Nominee Program. The province used to invite tech workers throughout the year under the tech pilot program. It was a temporary program launched by the province in order to fill vacancies in tech occupations.
However, this year, British Columbia declared the tech pilot as a permanent program under the name of BC PNP Tech.
Tech candidates invited by the province must meet the eligibility requirements for either Express Entry BC or Skills Immigration categories. And they must have a provincial score of at least 80 points. The invitations under these categories are managed by the SIRS (Skills and Immigration Registration System).
British Columbia has given 30 days to invited candidates to submit their complete application for nomination.
How to apply for BC Tech Pilot?
First, register yourself under the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) of the British Columbia PNP. Then, create your profile through the online portal in either of the categories – Skills Immigration or Express Entry BC. After completing these steps, you are eligible to apply for the BC PNP Tech Pilot provided that you have experience of working in tech fields.
The province has already issued 7,092 invitations to immigration candidates this year.
