British Columbia has invited 92 tech candidates in the newest British Columbia Tech Draw. The province issued invitations to international students and tech workers. Candidates invited in the tech drawing were a part of the following categories:
Express Entry BC; and
Skills Immigration
The Express Entry BC stream is for those candidates with a valid express entry profile number.
Through the Skills Immigration stream, semi-skilled and skilled workers who work in some of the high-demand occupations are invited by the province to obtain a provincial nomination.Skilled workers and International graduates required a minimum score of 80 in both the categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program.
British Columbia Tech Draws 2020
The province has held a total of 27 tech draws this year. Despite the chaos created by the coronavirus outbreak, British Columbia has been actively conducting PNP draws. Other than the tech pilot draws, the province of British Columbia regularly conducts draws for skilled workers and international students belonging to non-tech fields as well.In September, the province held its largest draw of 2020 by inviting more than 400 immigration candidates. For the last two months, the province has been issuing several invitations to eligible candidates.
How to apply for BC Tech Pilot?
First, register yourself under the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) of the British Columbia PNP. Then, create your profile through the online portal in either of the categories – Skills Immigration or Express Entry BC. After completing these steps, you are eligible to apply for the BC PNP Tech Pilot provided that you have experience of working in tech fields.
