Get ready to apply to the Saskatchewan PNP!

Saskatchewan has invited as many as 502 immigration candidates in a large invitation round held in January. The province issued invitations to Express Entry and In-Demand Occupations candidates through the SINP’s latest draw. These invited candidates can get a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan, and they can further apply for Canadian Permanent Residence.

Overview of the latest SINP Draw

Draw: Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program draw Streams included: Express Entry and In-Demand Occupations No. of Invitations: 502 Minimum score required: 77 in both the categories Saskatchewan has invited 189 immigration candidates through the Express Entry, and the rest 313 invitations were sent to the In-Demand Occupation candidates. To be eligible under the In-demand Occupation stream, applicants needed to have work experience in an occupation that is listed under the 79 in-demand occupations on the webpage of the province.

How to submit an application for SINP?

The first step for applying to SINP is submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI). The EOI acts as a confirmation that you are interested in moving your base to the province of Saskatchewan. Then, the officers review the EOI profiles of imitation candidates. And on the basis of their profiles, candidates get a score out of 100. The scoring system is administered by the subcategory of SINP- International Skilled Worker. ISW has a Points Assessment Grid wherein the scores are given by evaluating some parameters such as age, language proficiency, education, skilled work experience, and connections to Saskatchewan. Further, the highest-scoring candidates are invited to apply for the provincial nomination. Please note: In 2020, Saskatchewan made significant changes to its Points Assessment Grid by giving more points to candidates who can speak French and English.
