In the week that, the latest results of the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw were publicly disclosed by Canada’s two provinces Alberta and British Columbia.
Quebec and Nunavut are the only two Canadian territories and provinces that don’t exist with their own PNPs. The opportunity to seek for a provincial nomination may be extended to interested persons through several programs.
Around 400 immigrants were admitted into the PNP after it launched in 1998; but, as a result of its success, nowadays it admits over 80,000 immigrants annually. The surge in PNP enrollment in Canada is caused by the fact that both the federal and provincial governments regard it as a valuable tool for furthering the country’s economic and social development.
Every two weeks the Express Entry draws are conducted by the province. After a long pause IRCC Now IRCC conducted draws all programs of Express Entry. Invitations to the first all-program draw since 2020, which was held on July 6th, were sent to a total of 1500 candidates. The minimum CRS points are set at 557 or above to provide ITA for Permanent Residence. A total of 2000 candidates were invited to the latest Express Entry draw which was conducted on 3 August.

PNP result of Alberta
On July 29, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) released 120 invitations to use the Alberta Express Entry Stream to submit an application for provincial nomination. Candidates needed a minimum CRS score of 473 to qualify, up from the previous draw on June 16 when it was 300.
Provincial nomination can considerably boost the likelihood of gaining permanent resident status, even if it is not the same as a permanent residence in and of itself.
If a PNP applicant with an Express Entry profile is nominated, their CRS score is raised by 600 points. Since individuals who obtained an Alberta provincial nomination now possess a minimal overall CRS of 1073, it is very likely that IRCC will issue them an ITA.
Individuals should indeed already be part of the Express Entry pool and have significant ties to Alberta, such as a family member who resides in Alberta or a work proposal, in order to be accepted for provincial nomination under Alberta’s Express Entry stream. They must also have a long-term relocation plan.
PNP result of British Columbia
In the August 3 draw, over 164 individuals were asked to submit for provincial nomination in British Columbia this last week. Weekly provincial nomination draws are customary in British Columbia.
Last week’s regular draw didn’t take place. Alternatively, in an effort to fill labor shortages in BC, the province welcomed applications from relevant fields.
In a targeted draw for technical positions, 133 applicants from the skilled worker and overseas graduate categories were selected. On the Skills and Immigration Registration System, applicants must score at least 90. Only utilized for British Columbia’s PNP, SIRS functions similarly to Express Entry’s Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
Candidates in the following professions were also invited to rounds of assessments by the province. These draw mirror the one that occurred on July 26 in exactly the same way:
9 healthcare personnel, with scores of at least 60 points, and 22 early childhood educators and helpers with scores of a minimum of 60 points.
