Canadian immigration minister Sean Fraser wants to complete all four bucket lists which are found on their mandate letter during his term as immigration minister. A mandate letter is a document from the prime minister that contours the purpose of ministers, and that has to complete in the time of their term.
Fraser said they want to migrate successfully and make good on their adherence to those refugees of Afghans and Ukrainians who are searching for a safe place.
Since August 2021, there are 16730 Afghans who have immigrated to Canada and now Canada aims to welcome a minimum of 40,000 Afghan refugees. The government of Canada has established a CUAET pathway for Ukrainians who are run away from the war in Ukraine. With the help of this program, Ukrainian people are allowed to move to Canada temporarily. Since January 2022, there are 55,488 people from Ukrainian have moved to Canada.
As well as the application processing time will be returned to the six-month service standard, said Fraser. After the pandemic, the inventory list of IRCC has grown to around 2.4 million individuals across all sectors of business.
Fraser said, during his term as an immigration minister he want to do two things that he really care about, first the Employment Mobility Pathways pilot. This pathway helps refugee applicants to apply under the economic immigration program who have the talent to succeed in the labor market of Canada.
Fraser said that the Employment Mobility Pathways Pilot has the power to change the thinking of the world about refugees. They are not people who need funds but people who are well-being.
Foreign workers who are present in Canada for a long period of time they will be allowed to get status in Canada, Fraser said.
Fraser said it is the equitable thing that he wants to do Fraser said. As well as they will continue research on a policy to amend the measure on the condition inherent to some of the people who have lived here for a long time.
