More about Express Entry
Express Entry is not particularly the name of the Visa. In fact, it is a system that manages all permanent residency applications that are funneled by the three programs for the high-skilled workers, which are: the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP).
You can also skip the PNP process and directly apply through Express Entry and receive a permanent residence invite. Although IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) will send you an ITA for Canadian PR Visa as you receive an additional 600 points.
Once the profile is completed and submitted, it is ranked based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) that evaluates your profile on different parameters such as age, education, language proficiency, past work experience, etc.
The candidates whose scores are the highest are granted Invitations to Apply (ITA) through the usual draws of Express Entry.
The initial step to apply for the Express Entry Pool is to make a profile on the official website of the Canadian government.
