Canada still opens the door to Immigration
Like every other affected country, Canada is also fighting the coronavirus pandemic and it has enacted some special measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus. Nevertheless, Canada has not closed its doors for new Immigrants. It is still accepting and processing all immigration applications. Many applicants are unable to submit complete applications due to service disruptions caused by the outbreak of the coronavirus. Therefore, Canada has made its stand that no incomplete application will be rejected. Also, Canada is still conducting Express Entry and Provincial Nominee Draws to invite immigrants for the application of permanent resident status. Since the enactment of travel restrictions put by Canada on March 16, 2020, several draws have been held including federal and provincial draws. Here is a list of all the draws that have been held since March 16:- March 18: Express Entry Draw
- March 18: Alberta Provincial Nominee Draw
- March 23: Canada held another Express Entry
- March 26: Manitoba PNP Draw
- March 26: Saskatchewan PNP Draw
- March 30, April 6 and 7: British Columbia held three draws
- April 9: Two Express Entry Invitations round took place
- April 15 and 16:The federal government held another Express Entry draws
- April 16: The province of British Columbia held PNP Draw.
