British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program
Through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program, international workers who seek an occupation that is high in demand in the province are invited to work and settle in Canada forever as Canadian PRs.
There are two main streams called Skills Immigration and Express Entry. The management of these streams is under SIRS Skills Immigration Registration System. To apply for this, you will have to make an account in the online portal of the Express Entry System. You will then be marked upon the basis of last experience, language, education, etc.
All the high scorers are then invited to PNP to apply for a permanent residency.
If fortunately, the candidate is shortlisted and sent an invitation then they have 30 days from the invitation date to apply for the BC PNP through an online portal.
The most essential scoring candidates from each sub-order are then invited to apply for an ordinary choice to apply for PR when British Columbia conducts one of its typical draws.
After the submission of the completed application, the BC PNP will be informed of the decision of the province in 2-3 months. You will have to apply for a PR status in the Provincial Nominee Class if you are successful.
Once the date is confirmed their nomination is valid for six months.
An additional 600 points are added to the existing score as a candidate gets selected as a provincial nominee. The chance increases for the candidate to receive an ITA (Invitation to Apply) in the draw taking place subsequently.
