On 10th February a new draw was held and the details of it were published by the state of Manitoba.
There are three classified PNP from which the potential immigration candidates are invited through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program. All the invitations that are issued program wise have a least cut off score that diligently follows Manitoba’s system of Expression of Interest:
- Stream of International Education- Number of invitations was 40 with zero score requirement.
- Skilled Workers Overseas- Number of invitations were 31 with a least score of 705;
- Skilled Workers Manitoba- Number of invitations were 202 with a least score of 615;
With all of these, there were 68 separate invitations that had been issued to the candidates who are in the system of Express Entry.
What is the Express Entry?
The management system that the Express Entry is, consists of three immigration programs of the federal government that are for only highly skilled workers. These programs are the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), and Canadian Class of Experience (CEC).
There is a CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) which helps the potential candidate of immigration in the Express Entry System to get a score that is based on various factors like the ability to work, education background, age, skillset, etc. when the candidates submit their profiles. Whoever gets a high score that is nominated in the PNP and will be eligible to apply for a Canadian PR in the consequent draw of Express Entry whenever it will be held.
There is a possibility that if a candidate will apply straightaway via Express Entry, they shall get a Canadian PR invitation to apply. Being selected in a PNP shall provide a CRS score of 600 by the province and thus the candidate becomes eligible for an ITA that is helpful in attaining Canadian PR. This ITA shall be attained in the next draw of Express Entry.
Immigration programs of Manitoba Province
It is through the Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program that all immigration-related programs are managed by the province of Manitoba. These programs are supported by the federal government. Provinces of Canada cannot distribute the permanent residency status but can provide the PNP that will help get a PR status in the future.
To get a nomination in Manitoba, registering in an EOI with MPNP is mandatory. Only then do the candidates get in a place to be awarded an LAA via streams like Skilled Workers Overseas and Skilled Workers in Manitoba.
Out of 1,000 points, the candidates are ranking in Manitoba for their capital factors and province’s connections.
There are labor market needs that can be covered for categories that are designed to enable Manitoba for the Skilled Workers Overseas Category and Manitoban Skilled Workers category.
People who are living abroad or out of the Canadian boundary will have to exhibit their connections to Manitoba in relation to their close relatives and family members. This can happen with the help of experience in the province or Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment Initiative. It is not necessary that you live in Manitoba while applying for your eligibility.
Skilled Workers in the Manitoba classification shall get an orderly invitation once the candidate has a full-time employment offer in the province of Manitoba.
For scholars, if they have completed their studies in Manitoba, they can get an ITA under the International Education Stream provided that they have the required skill-set that is in demand in the province.
