How can you be eligible for this stream?
Candidates must meet some specific criteria in order to be eligible for this stream. One of the crucial requirements is a full-time job offer. The job offer must fall under the category of eligible occupations that are present inside or outside of the Greater Toronto Area. Immigration candidates require a total of 9 months of full-time and paid work experience in the employment for which they have got a job offer. Also Read: How to apply for Canadian Express Entry without a Job Offer. As for education, they must have studied up to the equivalent of Canadian secondary school education. The Canadian Language Benchmark score in English or French should be 4 or higher in all language abilities. For some occupations that require a license, candidates must attach a valid work license in the application.As per the guidelines, the job offer must fall under one of the following NOC skill level C or D codes:
- NOC 3413: Nurse aides, patient service associates
- NOC 4412: Home support workers and other related occupations
- NOC 7441: Residential and commercial installers
- NOC 7511: Transport truck drivers
- NOC 7521: Heavy equipment operators (excluding crane operators)
- NOC 7611: Laborers in construction trades
- NOC 8431: General farmworkers
- NOC 8432: Nursery and greenhouse workers
- NOC 8611: Harvesting laborers
- NOC 9462: Industrial butchers, meat cutters, and other related workers.
Occupations expanded in the In-Demand Skills Stream
From July 6 onwards, job offers (located outside of the GTA region) under the following NOC codes will be valid for the In-Demands Skills Stream of the OINP:-
- NOC 9411: Mineral and metal processing machine operators
- NOC 9416: Metal and forging machine operators
- NOC 9417: Machining tool operators
- NOC 9418: Metal products machine operators
- NOC 9421: Chemical plant machine operators
- NOC 9422: Plastics processing machine workers
- NOC 9437: Woodworking machine workers
- NOC 9446: Industrial sewing machine operators
- NOC 9461: Food, beverage and associated products processing
- NOC 9523: Electronic assemblers, inspectors, testers, and fabricators
- NOC 9526: Mechanical assemblers and inspectors
- NOC 9536: Industrial painters, metal finishing process operators, and coaters.
- NOC 9537: Product finishers, assemblers, and inspectors.
