Manitoba PNP issues invitations to skilled workers & students with strong ties to the province. These candidates, including skilled workers and international students, were selected for their potential to strengthen Manitoba’s workforce and settle successfully in the province.
Draw Results Overview
Manitoba PNP issues invitations to skilled workers & students. Well, the latest draws took place on 26 June, focusing on the International Education Stream (IES) and the Skilled Worker Streams.
International Education Stream
Under the International Education Stream, Manitoba issued 478 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs)—the equivalent of an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in other programs. Moreover, to receive an invitation under this stream, candidates had to:
- Meet all eligibility requirements of the IES
- Declare a Manitoba supporter who is a close relative
A Manitoba supporter must be a Canadian permanent resident or citizen, an established resident of Manitoba for at least one year, and a close relative of the applicant or their spouse.
Eligible relationships include:
- Sibling
- Mother or father
- Niece or nephew
- Aunt or uncle
- First cousin
- Grandmother or grandfather
A Manitoba supporter can back the applications of more than one skilled worker at the same time but must demonstrate the capacity to do so responsibly.
Candidates invited under this stream must submit documents proving their close relative relationship to their Manitoba supporter and verifying the supporter’s length of residency in Manitoba.
If they are unable to meet these requirements, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program advises them to consider declining their LAA to avoid ineligible applications.
Manitoba supporters are also required to prepare and submit a settlement plan with the candidate’s application and provide proof of their time living in Manitoba.
This draw focused on close relative support does not change the core criteria of the International Education Stream itself but shows the province’s commitment to selecting candidates with strong community ties.
Skilled Worker Streams
In addition to the IES draw, the MPNP issued 14 LAAs under its Skilled Worker Streams, which include the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas pathways. Moreover, these invitations were given to candidates who declared that they were invited by Manitoba through a strategic recruitment initiative and who achieved a minimum score of 712 to qualify.
The breakdown of these 14 LAAs under the province’s targeted strategic recruitment initiatives is shown below:
| Strategic Recruitment Initiative | Number Of Letters Of Advice To Apply Issued |
| Employer Services | 5 |
| Francophone Community | 5 |
| Regional Communities | 3 |
| Ethnocultural Communities | 1 |
The MPNP’s latest draw highlights Manitoba’s ongoing efforts to attract talented workers and students who are supported by the local community, ensuring they are well-positioned to integrate into the province’s workforce and build a future there. This targeted approach helps address Manitoba’s labour needs while strengthening community connections across the province.
