What Makes This Draw Significant?
This is the fourth Express Entry draw in June, and it signals a return to the larger CEC-specific rounds that IRCC regularly held in 2024 and earlier this year. It’s also the first draw under Canada’s new Immigration Minister, adding a layer of interest and anticipation.
This round follows several other draws earlier this month: a small Provincial Nominee Program draw on June 10, a targeted draw for healthcare and social services on June 4, and another PNP round on June 2.
So far in 2025, IRCC has issued 38,342 ITAs through the Express Entry system.
How 2025 Draws Have Been Distributed?
This year, IRCC has mainly focused on the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), while still holding regular draws for other categories, including the Canadian Experience Class and French-speaking candidates.
Here’s how the number of draws breakdown by category so far:
| Draw Type | Number of Draws |
| Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) | 10 |
| Canadian Experience Class (CEC) | 5 |
| French-language proficiency | 3 |
| Healthcare and social services | 2 |
| Education | 1 |
Why Is The CEC Pathway So Valuable?
The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is designed to help temporary foreign workers and international graduates become permanent residents more easily. It’s a key part of Canada’s broader immigration strategy—helping skilled workers stay and thrive in the country.
Research shows that individuals with prior Canadian work or study experience have a much smoother transition into the labour market. Thanks to their experience and networks, CEC immigrants often outperform Canadian-born workers in job outcomes.
Moreover, CEC candidates benefit from extra points in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), boosting their chances of receiving an ITA. They also typically receive permanent residence within six months, making it one of the fastest routes to PR in Canada.
Another big perk: CEC applicants don’t need to show proof of settlement funds, unlike candidates in other Express Entry programs.
Whether you’re a graduate who stayed to work in Canada or a skilled worker already contributing to the economy, the CEC offers a streamlined, efficient path to build a future in the country.
