The province of Manitoba has started the new year by inviting a total of 443 candidates of immigration to apply for a PNP this year.
The MPNP has called for candidates in the three PNP Provincial Nominee Programs and we have listed below the number of invitations that have been awarded under each category of program. The programs that are issued and the minimum cutoff score in the EOI system of the province is as follows:
- Manitoba Skilled Workers- the number of invitations were 357 that had the least score of 459;
- Skilled Workers Overseas- There were 53 invitations that had a minimum score of 711;
- International Education System- There were no minimum score requirement but there were 33 invitations
Even with these, there were 97 invitations that were issued to the immigration candidates in the system of Express Entry.
What is Express Entry?
The Express Entry System is managed by the government of Canada and the usual is that it looks after the operation of the three programs in the immigration system that is for the economic class of people. These areFederal Skilled Trades Program, Federal Skilled Worker Program, and Canadian Experience Class.
All those whose profiles have been submitted in the pool of Express Entry are given a score based on the Comprehensive Ranking System and it is done considering the past background of the candidate such as the age factor, the employment experience, language proficiency, and other things. Applying to Canadian PR via regular draws of Express Entry shall be permitted to only the highest-scoring candidates.
The candidate also has the choice of skipping the whole process of PNP and straightaway applying from Express Entry in order to get nominated for Canadian permanent residency. If a candidate comes through the PNP process they get an extra 600 points that are added to their Comprehensive Ranking System and they become eligible to receive an ITA for Canadian PR in the follow-up draw that was going to be held.
Immigration programs of Manitoba
The immigration Programs of Manitoba are operated by MPNP which is responsible to provide support for the application of immigration to the government of Canada. The provinces of Canada do not hold the ability to grant Canadian PR to candidates instead they can contribute to the process of application side by side of issuing a PNP.
In order to get a Manitoban nomination, the candidate has to register themselves in a profile that is the EOI Expression of Interest with the MPNP. The candidate is then in the power to receive the Canadian PR status and they can also get help with an application with issuing PNPs.
Once registered with the EOI the candidate will be eligible to receive an LAA through Skilled Workers Overseas and Skilled Workers in Manitoba program.
The candidates are then ranked by the province of Manitoba under 1000 points for their human capital factors and also their relations with people who are residing in the province of Manitoba already.
The Skilled Workers in Manitoba and the Skilled Workers Overseas Category will be designed that will permit the province to pick up or select candidates who will satisfy the needs of the Canadian labor market.
The candidates who have a relative or a close one living in Manitoba must be able to prove their relationship with them. This can also help if the candidate has lived in the province before. The candidate can then receive an invitation via one of Manitoba’s Strategies of employment programs or efforts. It’s not compulsory that the candidates will be residing in the province of Manitoba at the same moment the candidate is also applying for a PR status.
To be eligible under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba program the candidate should be offered a full-time job role from a recruiter in the province.
Students and scholars whose education degree has been completed in Manitoba can also be eligible to get an invitation under the international education stream if they will showcase their in-demand skill set.
