Liberals have increased immigration since 2015
Trudeau’s Liberal party was reappointed for a third continuous term in September. Since accepting power in 2015, they have sought after a strategy of forcefully higher migration levels. This has involved expanding movement from around 300,000 appearances each year to a current objective of the north of 400,000 every year.
Following their triumph, Trudeau uncovered his new bureau in October. Fraser is a prepared attorney from Nova Scotia that was first chosen for Parliament in 2015. He replaces Marco Mendicino who filled in as a migration serve starting around 2019, and who is presently Minister of Public Safety.
As per an October 2021 gathering among IRCC and affiliations addressing Canadian movement attorneys and specialists, the division right now has three needs in the short run: accomplishing its 401,000 novice focus for 2021, rejoining families, and getting Afghan evacuees to security Canada.
