Canada PNP weekly roundup was held for British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec. Additionally, the Provincial Nomination Program outcomes for these four Canadian provinces were recently released.
PNP is the main entry point for the majority of economic immigrants who become permanent residents in Canada. By 2025, the Immigration Levels Plan 2023–2025 sets a goal of bringing in more than 117,500 new PNP permanent residents annually.
Contrary to the prior observation of the program’s introduction in 1998, where the majority of immigrants chose to live in a small number of Canada’s urban areas, PNPs assist in spreading the economic benefits of immigration throughout the nation.
Because immigration is an equal obligation of the federal and provincial governments, provinces may invite individuals for provincial nomination. However, Quebec is exceptional for the reason that it has complete control over its acceptance of economically and professionally qualified immigrants.
Canada PNP weekly roundup results between April 22 to 28
British Columbia
On April 25, three targeted draws were held in British Columbia, inviting a total of 168 candidates. According to the Skills Immigration Registration System, applicants for the BC PNP must achieve the minimal cut-off scores. This functions very similarly to the Express Entry CRS. However, it is only available to people who want a provincial nomination from British Columbia.
All applicants, including Express Entry applicants, participated in the Skilled Worker or International Graduate streams in this week’s draw.
With a minimum SIRS score of 90 and a tech occupation, 113 individuals remained the focus of the largest draw. The second draw selected 28 candidates for the position of Early Childhood Educators and Assistants in Childcare. The threshold for candidates turned out to be 60.
The third draw had an essential score requirement of 60, which included 27 applicants for healthcare positions.
Canada PNP weekly roundup results for Alberta
This week, Alberta released three different draw results for the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program. Every applicant was also a part of the Express Entry pool.
The initial interview, which took place on April 20, focused on 152 individuals who had a relative living in Alberta and whose major occupation was in demand. All had a CRS score between 300 and 500 as a minimum.
In a draw targeting the priority sector of construction jobs with an Alberta employment offer, 124 individuals received invitations on April 24. Furthermore, the invited candidates had to have at least a 301 CRS score. The Designated Healthcare Pathway, Alberta job offer stream selected eight candidates for the final draw on April 25. A CRS of 316 was the least score for contenders.
By using the AAIP in 2023, Alberta is planning to invite up to 9,750 applicants. Through the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway, 1,462 Express Entry applicants (the most in the province) are anticipated to receive invitations.
Quebec
On April 20, Quebec issued an invitation to 1020 Quebec Skilled Worker Program participants to submit applications for permanent selection. Further, all applicants had GPAs of 598 or above and legitimate work offers from locations outside the Montréal Metropolitan Area.
Despite having complete autonomy in the decision-making process for choosing economic immigrants, applicants with a Quebec Selection Certificate must still submit a permanent residency application to IRCC.
Manitoba
In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program, Manitoba invited 558 letters of recommendation to be submitted on behalf of applicants. Moreover, candidates had to receive a minimum score of 616 to gain eligibility.
The draw only included applicants with employment in a regulated field and who held a valid Manitoba work permit.
