British Columbia invites business owners in the latest draw, i.e., the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) recently held its biggest immigration draw yet for people who want to start or buy a business.
The province invited new business owners through both the ‘Regional’ and ‘Base’ streams of its entrepreneur program. The province hopes to bring new economic growth and jobs to the province by doing this.
Draw Results
On November 18, 2025, the BC PNP held two draws under its Entrepreneur Immigration Program. They invited business owners who plan to start businesses in both small, rural towns and metropolitan areas.
The lowest score needed to be invited and the total number of invitations given changed based on the stream:
| Date | Stream | Minimum Score | Number Of Invitations |
| November 18, 2025 | Base | 121 | 19 |
| Regional | 115 | <5 |
Throughout 2025, the BC PNP has focused on inviting entrepreneur candidates. They have held eight draws for this group, as the province seeks to nominate people who will have a ‘high economic impact’ on British Columbia.
Understanding The Entrepreneur Streams
The Base Entrepreneur Immigration stream is for experienced business owners who want to open or buy a business anywhere in British Columbia. They do not need a community to refer them. This stream has higher money requirements (you need a net worth of at least $600,000 and must invest at least $200,000). You can buy or expand an existing business and must own at least one-third of it.
The Regional Entrepreneur Immigration stream is for business owners who will start a new business in one of the smaller, rural communities that are taking part in the program. Candidates must visit the community, get a referral from that community, and must own at least 51% of the business. The financial requirements are lower (you need a net worth of about $300,000 and must invest $100,000).
Both streams follow the same main steps, i.e., first, you register your profile, then you may get an invitation. Next, you get a work permit to start the business in British Columbia. If you meet all the conditions, you will then be nominated for Permanent Residency (PR).
