British Columbia Conducts its weekly Tech Pilot Draw

The province of Brtish Columbia provides a wonderful opportunity for candidates working in the tech field to immigrate to Canada.  The technology sector in British Columbia is responsible for driving economic growth in the province.  The B.C. Tech Pilot ensures that the province is able to attract tech workers and retain them in order to facilitate economic progress. 

Tech Pilot Latest Draw

British Columbia has recently declared its new tech pilot draw by inviting 62 international students and tech workers.  Candidates who had a provincial score of at least 80 points received an invitation in this tech draw. Also, the tech candidates required to have a job offer from a list of 29 in-demand eligible occupations.

British Columbia Tech Pilot

The technology sector is indeed a major contributor to economic growth in Canada. And the demand for tech workers is rising rapidly in the province.  To meet the rising demand of talented tech workers, the BC Provincial Nominee Program launched a Tech Pilot in 2017 and later extended it to June 2020.  The Tech Pilot was introduced with an objective to accelerate the growth of the technology sector. With this pilot, employers can hire talented foreign workers and international students who can address the tech market needs. In this way, the required growth of the tech sector is not hindered. 

Tech Pilot: 2020

British Columbia has held a total of 15 Tech pilot draws this year. More than 1,500 tech candidates have received a provincial nomination from British Columbia. Figures show that the previous year was a terrific year for the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program as the province recorded a rise in the number of registrants. In terms of Tech Pilot as well, the last year was great. The province issued 1,509 nominations through the tech pilot alone. This was a 33 percent increase as compared to the figures of 2018.
