Apply to RNIP- Claresholm, Alberta has started the application process

Claresholm, a community in the province of Alberta is next on board for starting the application process for the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). Located in Southern Alberta, Claresholm is one of eleven communities that are selected for the RNIP. The community will accept applications from newcomers through the Claresholm RNIP portal for a period of three years. For the first year, it will recommend around 20 immigrants and their families for the status of a permanent resident.

Claresholm is the latest community that has started taking applications for the RNIP. The other four communities include:

Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario
Brandon, Manitoba
Altona/Rhineland, Manitoba
Vernon, B.C.

Why the government launched the RNIP?

RNIP is an initiative by the Government of Canada to help communities that are facing acute labor shortages. Through this program, employers are directly connected with skilled immigrants. This makes it easier for them to select candidates with the required skills and meet the shortages of skilled labor. Thus, the government launched this community-driven program to address the labor market needs of the communities.

Before you apply to the Claresholm RNIP portal, make sure that you meet the federal government’s eligibility criteria.

Candidates need to have an eligible job offer for a full-time permanent position
They should have a recommendation from the Claresholm Economic Development Committee.

Apart from this, interested candidates need to have all the supporting documents.

How to apply?

If a candidate meets all the requirements set by the federal government for applying to RNIP, he/she can apply for the Claresholm RNIP. The community has started accepting applications now. A candidate needs to create his/her profile on the Claresholm RNIP Employment portal. He/she has to upload a resume, cover letter, and other supporting documents. Post this, a candidate can search for jobs related to his/her field and can apply through the Claresholm RNIP portal. Once a candidate receives a job offer, he/she may be recommended by Claresholm for the status of a permanent resident. As per the latest update, the Claresholm employment portal is live.
