IRCC has issued 381 invitations to Provincial Nominee Program candidates through the latest Express Entry Draw held on April 28.
Invited candidates had a provincial nomination from Canadian provinces. Therefore, the Comprehensive Ranking System score requirement was 717. Candidates already had 600 points because of securing provincial nomination. So, they required only 117 points in the express entry round. The cut-off CRS score required in this draw was as many as 36 points lower than the score required in the previous PNP express entry draw.
However, candidates with 717 CRS points were invited only if their profiles were in the express entry pool of candidates before the tie break date and time: March 16, 2021, at 21:20:50 UTC.
Canadian provinces issue provincial nominations to immigration candidates based on their regional labor market requirements. Provincial Nominations are crucial as without them labor shortages in the provinces may be overpassed by the federal government.
