Ontario has held PNP draw for French-speaking candidates

Ontario has conducted another Provincial Nominee Program draw by inviting candidates under the French-Speaking Skilled Worker immigration stream of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program. The province has invited 126 candidates through the Express Entry linked stream and the invited candidates required a Comprehensive Ranking System score in the range of 455 and 467. Also, only those candidates received invitations who had submitted their profiles between 3rd March 2020 and 3rd March 2021. So, candidates had a complete one year to create their profiles in order to receive an invitation from Ontario. It is a mandatory requirement that prospective candidates meet the eligibility criteria of the Express Entry system if they apply under the Express entry linked streams. Also, candidates who are nominated by the express entry linked stream of the province are awarded 600 points extra in their CRS scores.

OINP: French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream

This stream helps Ontario select those candidates who belong to the federal express entry pool and are proficient in both French and English. An applicant does not require a job offer when he or she applies for a provincial nomination through this stream. The emphasis is primarily on language ability.

Requirements for French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream:

Candidates should belong to the Federal skilled worker class or Canadian experience class;
Proficiency in French at a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher;
Proficiency in English at CLB level 6 or higher
Minimum one-year work experience throughout five years under federal skilled worker stream;
One year work experience within three years under the Candian Experience Class;

The province conducted the previous FSSW draw in January this year and issued 146 invitations. So, with this new draw, Ontario has issued a total of 271 invitations to French-speaking candidates this year. With big cities like Toronto, Ottawa, and Oakville, the province of Ontario is the most preferred choice for immigration candidates. And French-speaking candidates have a good chance to settle in Ontario through the FSSW immigration category.
