Prince Edward Island conducts first PNP draw of 2021

Prince Edward Island invited 211 candidates in the latest Provincial Nominee Program to draw held last week. Immigration candidates were invited by the province through three of its main streams – Business Impact, Labor Impact, and Express Entry. Out of the 211 invitations issued, 196 went to the Labor Impact and Express Entry candidates and the rest 15 invitations to the Business Impact candidates. All 15 candidates invited through the Business Impact category required a minimum provincial score of 80.

PEI: Business Impact

PEI has invited 21 candidates through the Business Impact Category. These candidates required a minimum score of 80 in the latest draw. The province has issued invitations to those candidates who want to start their business in PEI. These entrepreneurs were invited through the Work Permit Stream under the Business Impact Category.

PEI: Labor Impact

If an immigration candidate has a valid job offer, they can immigrate to Prince Edward Island through the Labor Impact category. There are three streams in this category – International Graduate, Skilled Worker, and Critical Worker. Candidates must submit their Expression of Interest profiles with the PEI PNP so that they can be considered by the province for a provincial nomination.

PEI: Express Entry

Express Entry Category is aligned with the federal government’s express entry system. To become eligible for a provincial nomination from Prince Edward Island, express entry candidates have to create an Expression of Interest profile separately for the PEI PNP. In the latest draw, the province did not disclose the minimum EOI score that was needed by the Express Entry candidates
