Results of the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw have been made public by four Canadian provinces: Saskatchewan, Ontario, British Columbia, and Manitoba.
The majority of provinces and territories of Canada control their own PNPs but Nunavut and Quebec always have been the expectation. Those individuals who are interested in settling in the province have to demonstrate an interest in applying for a provincial nomination. Even while it is not the same as permanent resident status in and of itself, the provincial nomination can significantly increase the likelihood of obtaining it. The CRS score of PNP applicants with Express Entry profiles who are nominated, for instance, will rise by 600 points. Those candidates who want to be invited have to satisfy the prerequisites which are only open to members of PNP.
Due to its popularity, the PNP now admits more than 80,000 immigrants annually compared to its initial cap of 400. The number of PNP admissions has increased because the federal and provincial governments of Canada see the PNP as a helpful tool for improving the country’s economic development.
Express Entry holds a draw once every two weeks. IRCC is currently holding all-program Express Entry draws once again following an extended absence. The inaugural Express Entry draw, which was held on July 6, 2020, after an 18-month hiatus, results in invites for 1500 Express Entry applicants in total. A total of 1750 candidates were invited in the latest draw of Express Entry which was conducted on 20 July.
Results of the PNP draw as of July 21
Saskatchewan
The outcomes of the invitation round for the dates of July 21 and July 28 have been made public by the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). The greatest 2022 draw, which let 802 candidates make their demands for a provincial candidacy, happened on July 21. 797 Express Entry candidates and five Ukrainian nationals received invites from the province in response to the present crisis.
After the draw on July 28, 748 candidates were requested to submit applications for provincial nomination. Express Entry applicants received 279 of these invitations, while Occupations in Demand applicants received 469. Throughout July, Saskatchewan has held weekly PNP draws. The monthly timetable is different from this.
British Columbia
In the province of British Columbia provincial Nominee Program (PNP) typically holds invitation rounds on a weekly basis.
The BC Provincial Nominee Program’s (BC PNP) most recent invitational rounds were held on July 26. Over 183 applicants were invited to submit nomination petitions by their respective provinces in these draws, which involved over 183 candidates.
147 of these applicants, including those in technical professions, were chosen by a universal draw. These applicants must have to be qualified for one of the Express Entry streams of BC or categories of Skills Immigration which is under the control of Skills the and Immigration Registration System of British Columbia. For those that were invited, a minimum score of 78 was necessary.
There were further rounds of invites from the province for the following professions:
- There are 22 early childhood educators and helpers who are invited, they required a minimum of 60 points to get invitations.
- A total of 9 healthcare professionals who scored a minimum of 60 are invited.
Additionally, BC announced on July 14 that the BC PNP Entrepreneur Base Category would return following a brief one-year suspension. Entrepreneurs with previous experience are encouraged to reapply for a chance to be chosen for one of the upcoming quarterly lotteries in the province.
Manitoba
On July 28, Manitoba performed a PNP draw and sent 355 invitations via the Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program.
Invitations were extended to three distinct immigration streams:
International Education Stream: There are 41invitations issued in this draw and there is no score required to be invited.
Skilled Workers in Manitoba: A total of 299 invitations were issued and a minimum of 693 points are required to be invited.
Skilled Workers Overseas: A total of 15 invitations were issued and a minimum of 726 points are required.
56 of the candidates who received application invitations had Express Entry profiles.
Ontario
Two individuals were invited to apply for the Economic Mobility Pathways Project on 27 July by the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program. Through already-established economic measures, this program seeks to assist talented refugees in immigration to Canada.
