Starting April 1, travelers who are fully vaccinated are not required to re-enter the COVID-19 test to come to Canada.
Travelers will still require to submit their vaccination status and other mandatory information through ArriveCAN App before crossing the border. Passengers must have to test COVID-19 on arrival who arrives without completing ArriveCAN submission and quarantine for 14 days.
Travelers who will take a plane or a cruise must have to submit their information 72 hours before boarding on ArriveCAN App.
Pre-entry testing and quarantine will still be subjected to travelers who are vaccinated or unvaccinated. Canadian and exempt foreign passengers must have to submit their pre-arrival test. Those foreign travelers who are not fully vaccinated are still prohibited to enter Canada.
All travelers who are under the of five and not qualified for vaccination should continue to provide pre-entry COVID-19 testing proof, which could be:
- Passengers who are not qualified for vaccination should have valid proof of antigen-negative test or be observed by an accredited lab. The report should be one day before the scheduled departure time.
- Passengers must have taken a valid negative molecular test which is no more than 72 hours before the scheduled flight departure.
- Passengers should have documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 before 90 days.
Those travelers who are considered fully vaccinated they required to have recommended dose of an approved vaccination said by Canadian the government. Eight different COVID-19 vaccines are approved by Canada which are Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson&Johnson, Bharat Biotech, Nova wax, Astra-Zeneca, Sinopharm BIBP, and Sinovac.
The final dose must be taken 14 days before arrival in Canada. Canadian border services staff still test passengers who are coming from Canada. The purpose of these tests will identify the variant of COVID-19.
