The minimum score should have been 75 points in order for the applicants to receive draw invitations from Foreign Graduate and Skilled Worker sub-categories.
The time frame for the candidates to apply for the nomination is almost a month.
Until 2021, more than 10,500 ITAs (Invitation to Apply) have been issued by the province of British Columbia.
What is the British Columbia PNP Tech program?
Back in 2017, a pilot project was launched by the province of B.C that was invested to analyze and study the labor market of British Columbia. The program was named as British Columbia Provincial Nominee Tech Program. A few years ago, the study of the labor market found out that British Columbia was facing a huge issue and that was the unavailability of local talent in the region.
Therefore, to acknowledge this British Columbia launched BC PNP Tech and implemented it as a permanent program. This program allows employers in the British Columbia province to seek out international skilled professionals and call them to the technology sector of British Columbia.
This is mainly designed for the in-demand professionals and foreign graduates to attain a Canadian Permanent Residence status in a quick and effortless manner. In order to be eligible for this program, the candidates have to register themselves in any one of the British Columbia existing streams of provincial nominations. The candidates are assumed to have an employment offer for at least a year in any one of the 29 mentioned job profiles that are duly considered eligible for this particular stream.
Additionally, to qualify for the BC PNP Tech, the candidate should have a job offer for a minimum of one year and 120 days remaining while applying for the BC PNP. The job being offered must also be a full-time opportunity from a valid institution or an employer in the region.
The Tech draw invitations are issued weekly to the candidates who have the highest score in the Express Entry pool and also meet the required criteria.
Once the chosen candidate submits a completed application, the authorities take a time duration of two to three months to process the same application.
The IRCC, the immigration department of Canada, gives a nomination confirmation of permanent residency to the candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program class.
This is straight away adding an extra 600 points in the CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) for the candidate to be eligible to attain an ITA for a PR in Express Entry.
