A total number of 1084 candidates of immigration have been invited by Ontario to apply for a PNP on 11th January 2022.
The nominations were basically issued to the OINP (Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program) who also had profiles in the system of EOI Expression of Interest. The one criterion that had to be followed was that these candidates are supposed to belong to any one of the following categories that come under the Employment Job Offer. These are segregated between International Student, Foreign Workers, and Skills that are In-Demand.
The Provincial Nominee Program has some of the invitation numbers for the stream that is:
- In-Demand Skills Stream- 58
- International Students Stream-762
- Foreign Worker Stream- 264
The Employer Job Offer through which the candidates have been invited are the skills that are in-demand and also the work experience that is mentioned in the NOC below:
Occupations in the agriculture and health sector:
- nurture helpers, orderlies and patient assistance partners
- home help laborers and related occupations, barring servants
- general homestead laborers
- nursery and nursery laborers
- collecting workers
- modern butchers and meat cutters, poultry preparers and related specialists
Producing (outside the GTA as it were):
- machine administrators, mineral and metal handling
- metalworking and manufacturing machine administrators
- machining device administrators
- other metal items machine administrators
- substance plant machine administrators
- plastics handling machine administrators
- carpentry machine administrators
- modern sewing machine administrators
- process control and machine administrators, food, refreshment and related items handling
- hardware constructing agents, fabricators, auditors and analyzers
- mechanical constructing agents and auditors
- modern painters, coaters and metal completing cycle administrators
- different items constructing agents, finishers and examiners
Ontario wants to welcome more immigrants
Every year, the central government commands and liberates the territories and provinces of Canada to carry forward a PNP and give them a list of nominations.
Last year in 2021, the province of Ontario was also allowed to nominate a total number of 8,350 immigrants. There were an additional 250 nominations that helped the temporary skilled workers to move to the intermediate skilled job profiles.
Until 10 November, the province of Ontario had issued more than 8,600 nominations. According to the immigration minister of Canada, Monte McNaughton, Ontario is seeking the help of the federal government that would double their invitations this year that is 2022. The province of Ontario will get an allocation number provided by IRCC later this year.
