Of the invitations issued on August 29, 125 went to NLPNP candidates, while 77 were sent to applicants through the AIP.
August 29 Draw Breakdown
The table below highlights the ITA distribution from the province’s three most recent draws managed by Newfoundland and Labrador’s Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism (OIM).
| Draw Date | Total ITAs Issued | NLPNP ITAs | AIP ITAs |
| July 29, 2025 | 150 | 100 | 50 |
| August 13, 2025 | 231 | 180 | 51 |
| August 29, 2025 | 202 | 125 | 77 |
While the exact streams under the NLPNP were not disclosed, the province has been running two draws each month since May, with most invitations directed toward NLPNP candidates.
ITA Eligibility
As Newfoundland and Labrador issues ITAs in the latest draws, let’s look at the ITA eligibility.
Well, according to the Newfoundland and Labrador government, candidates applying through the NLPNP or AIP must hold a job or job offer from an employer in the province.
Expressions of Interest (EOIs) aligned with the province’s labour market needs are prioritized for invitations.
NLPNP candidates selected will receive an email invitation and can submit their nomination application via the Immigration Accelerator portal.
For AIP candidates, designated employers will be notified by email and provided with a confirmation letter through the portal. The employer must then apply to the province for job offer endorsement.
All candidates, except those already in Canada applying solely through the NLPNP, require an invite code from their employer before submitting an EOI.
Immigration Allocation Update
Newfoundland and Labrador currently holds 2,525 nomination spaces across the NLPNP and AIP.
Earlier this year, the province boosted its nomination allocation by 1,000, allowing more foreign nationals to immigrate through the OIM.
However, the endorsement cap under the AIP remains at 475.
The NLPNP also transitioned to an Expression of Interest (EOI) intake model, creating a two-step process, i.e., submission of interest followed by invitation to apply, similar to other Canadian provinces.
