Express Entry system in Canada
Getting through the Express Entry system in Canada is a dream come true for individuals, who are interested in obtaining their permanent residency within the country. With the recent express entry draw, 3,500 such lucky individuals were able to secure their permanent residency within the country. The draw was held back in 20th of February and the invitations have now been sent out. According to the stats of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, a total number of 14,500 invitations have now been issued within the year 2019. This was the higher number of invitations sent out at the beginning of the year, after the introduction of the Express Entry system back in 2015. When you compare the numbers with 2017, you will notice that there is a 70% increase in the overall figures.
According to the Express Entry System, a pool of candidates is managed for the three different economic immigration programs found under the Federal government. These three programs include Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Federal Skilled Worker Class. They are designed to get the skilled labour into Canada and provide them with permanent residence so that they can contribute towards the country as well as the economy.
All the invitations under these immigration programs will be sent out based on a Comprehensive Ranking System. Therefore, most eligible individuals will be able to secure their invitations without any hassle. The factors considered for the comprehensive ranking system include age, skilled work experience, education level and proficiency in French or English. All the candidate profiles will be ordered according to their qualification levels. Then the individuals who sit at the top of the point table will be sent out with invitations. These take place after a draw, which usually happens once every two weeks.
Back in January end, the minimum number of points that a person wanted to have to be eligible was 438. However, it was increased up to 457 in the second week of February. Likewise, the minimum number of points is going up and down along with time. But if you have all the qualifications, you don’t need to worry too much as there is a high possibility for you to secure an invitation.
The time gap between the invitation draws can also create a major impact on the minimum cut-off point. That’s because more qualified individuals will be submitting their application during the lengthened time gap. Hence, the cut-off period obviously increases. That’s the main reason why the cut-off went down back in the draw held on January 30th. That’s because another draw was held on the 23rd of January.
There are some effective methods, which the candidates can follow in order to improve their CRS score as well. One of the most effective methods out of them would be to obtain a nomination via the Provincial Nominee Program in Canada. With a provincial nomination, a permanent residency candidate will be able to secure an additional 600 points to the overall CRS score. It can definitely help you to get over the minimum cut-off mark and you can go ahead and apply for Canadian permanent residency without any hassle.
The provinces such as Ontario, British Columbia and Manitoba have already issued invitations for the candidates to go ahead and apply for provincial nomination. All the candidates are strongly encouraged to take a look at it as well because it can easily increase their chances of being accepted. It is also important to take a look at the Saskatchewan invites as well. In fact, Saskatchewan has invited 83 different candidates to go ahead and apply for Express Entry under the provincial nomination draw, which has held back in 27th of February. The people who were invited for under Saskatchewan had an expression for interest under the Saskatchewan’s International Skilled Worker Express Entry category. It is a prominent sub-category that you can find in the Express Entry System, which is there to provide permanent residency for the individuals who are interested in coming to settle down in Canada. All the candidates who are going to apply through this program must have relevant skilled work experience, which is related to the highly skilled occupation list located in the Saskatchewan’s in-demand occupation list. Along with this, the other criteria need to be satisfied as well. All the submitted profiles will be assigned with a score. If your profile has more than 60 points, you will be able to get into the pool of candidates. Then the highest-ranked candidates will be provided with invitations as per the above-mentioned category. On the other hand, the lowest-ranked candidates will be invited to go ahead and apply for a provincial nomination, which had a score of 68 back in last February.
