Manitoba PNP invites skilled workers in the latest draw, i.e., on January 15, 2025, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) held its first immigration draw of the year, inviting candidates through its Skilled Worker Stream.
Candidates were invited only if they stated that they were directly invited by the MPNP as part of a strategic recruitment mission.
Draw Results
Manitoba issued a total of 55 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) in the province’s first 2026 draw.
The MPNP invited candidates through both Skilled Worker Stream pathways:
- Skilled Worker in Manitoba
- Skilled Worker Overseas
To receive an invitation, candidates had to declare in their Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles that they were invited by the province under a strategic recruitment initiative.
The largest number of LAAs went to candidates invited under the “Employer Services” recruitment initiative, making up about 38% of all invitations.
Here’s how the LAAs were distributed, by strategic recruitment initiative:
| Strategic Recruitment Initiative | Number Of LAAs Issued |
| Employer Services | 21 |
| Francophone Community | 7 |
| Regional Communities | 15 |
| Ethnocultural Communities | 9 |
| Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates (TPP) | 3 |
Of the 55 LAAs issued in EOI Draw #262, 10 were given to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile and job seeker validation code.
For comparison, Manitoba’s first draw of 2025 invited 197 candidates through the Skilled Worker Stream on January 9. This shows the province has started more slowly and later this year.
I Met The Selection Criteria – Why Didn’t I Receive An LAA?
If a candidate believes their EOI met the requirements but they did not receive an LAA, the MPNP says this may be because:
- They stated they took an approved English or French language test but did not enter a valid test number, or the results had expired
- They said they received an Invitation to Apply under a strategic recruitment initiative, but the invitation number entered was not valid
