Canadian provinces British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Prince Edward Island released the latest provincial immigration results this week. Provinces and territories across Canada, excluding Quebec and Nunavut, have their own PNPs to facilitate immigration for potential candidates. Applicants who intend to migrate to Canada can submit applications through these programs. Those who are granted provincial nomination may enjoy a benefit in their quest for permanent residency.
A steady increase in the number of permanent residents has been a hallmark of the PNP for more than two decades, since its establishment in 1998. Efforts to promote economic development outside urban areas are widely acknowledged as efficient, with both the federal and provincial governments supporting the PNP.
Two Express Entry draws were held by IRCC this month, the latest being held this week and inviting only Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates to apply. Provincial recruitment programs enable provinces to find candidates with suitable qualifications and abilities. Thereby addressing local labor shortages and promoting economic growth.
