Immigrate to Manitoba through the MPNP Draw

Manitoba has a highly rated nominee program- Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), which makes it a popular province to migrate. Manitoba has recently conducted the largest draw and invited 199 skilled workers and international graduates. Candidates received Letters of advice to apply (LAAs) for a provincial nomination through three major immigration streams of Manitoba PNP. The distribution of the 199 invited candidates in each stream is given below:

Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 157
Skilled Workers Overseas: 21
International Education Stream: 21

Out of these 199 invitations, 15 invitations are assigned to those candidates who had submitted a profile in the Express Entry pool. Candidates who have submitted their profiles in the express entry pool are selected on the basis of a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. The CRS score depends on parameters such as age, educational qualification, work experience, and language ability. Besides, an additional 600 points are given to those Express Entry candidates who are nominated by a province. This ultimately increases their chances to become a permanent resident. Express Entry candidates should note that they must possess a valid Express Entry ID, job seeker validation code, and valid work experience to apply for provincial nomination. Manitoba has invited nearly 2,883 candidates so far this year.

Submission of an Expression of Interest

Expression of Interest is a confirmation of the candidate’s interest in applying for Manitoba Provincial Nomination. A candidate who applies for a provincial nomination is required to submit an Expression of Interest. While submitting an EOI, the candidate has to answer a set of questions to create an online profile. On the basis of this EOI profile, he/she will be given a score out of 1,000. And, candidates who are ranked higher in this score grid will be sent invitations by the province of Manitoba.

Skilled Worker in Manitoba

It is one of the three streams of the Manitoba PNP that provides permanent residence to foreign workers and international graduates. This immigration stream is for those candidates who already have a full-time job offer in Manitoba. Through this stream, Manitoba invites foreign workers with a decent skill set to apply for Manitoba provincial nomination. Lately, 157 Skilled Workers in Manitoba have been invited to apply for the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.

Skilled Worker Overseas

Candidates having some connection to Manitoba have a chance of receiving an invitation via Skilled Worker Overseas Category. This connection can be related to previous work experience in the province, close family members, or education. If a candidate is applying through the skilled worker overseas stream, it is not mandatory for him/her to be physically present in Manitoba while submitting an application. He/She can apply from any part of the world. 21 Skilled Workers from overseas are invited in the latest MPNP draw.

International Education Stream

It is a new measure initiated particularly for the international students who graduate from the Manitoba province. With the help of this program, students can get a faster track to the nomination.
