Alberta invites candidates in six AAIP draws, i.e., the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) conducted six provincial immigration draws between February 6 and February 19, 2026. These draws covered several key immigration streams and targeted different types of workers.
During this period, Alberta issued a total of 441 invitations through the following pathways:
- Rural Renewal Stream
- Alberta Express Entry Stream – Accelerated Tech Pathway
- Alberta Express Entry Stream – Law Enforcement Pathway
- Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors pathway (construction, manufacturing, and agriculture)

The latest AAIP results show a busy period in mid-February. Invitations were distributed across tech occupations, rural immigration candidates, and workers in priority sectors.

Notably, the manufacturing draw on February 12 was the first time this sector was included under the Alberta Express Entry priority sectors stream. Manufacturing was added as a priority area earlier in January 2026.
The February 10 Rural Renewal Stream draw was the largest among the six and was also the first held after Alberta introduced tighter eligibility rules on January 1. Under the updated rules, candidates already in Canada must now hold a valid work permit. The province has also placed limits on the number of yearly community endorsements for each designated rural community, along with other restrictions.

For 2026, the federal government has given the AAIP a total of 6,403 nomination spaces. As of February 18, the program has released the following processing update:
