Ontario resumes PNP invitations after a four-month break.
On June 6, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) conducted a targeted draw focused on applicants with job offers in Greater Sudbury.
This draw issued invitations under several streams within the OINP’s Employer Job Offer category.
The breakdown of invitations is as follows:
| Employer Job Offer Stream | Number of invitations issued | Minimum score |
| Foreign Worker Stream | 32 | 36 |
| International Student Stream | 34 | 54 |
| In-Demand Skills Stream | 6 | 32 |
To be eligible for this draw, applicants were required to have an active profile in the OINP system created on or before June 3, 2025.
Altogether, 72 applicants received invitations in the June 6 draw.
To qualify, applicants needed to:
- Hold a valid job offer from an employer in the Greater Sudbury census division
- Be residing in Canada at the time of application
- Possess at least a bachelor’s degree or higher
Those invited in this round must submit their complete applications by June 20, 2025.
Details regarding the application steps and requirements are available on the official OINP website.
Recent History Of OINP Draws
This latest draw comes just days after Ontario resumed PNP activity with a large draw on June 3, which invited 3,719 applicants across Employer Job Offer streams.
Before that, Ontario had held only one Provincial Nominee Program draw in 2025. That draw occurred on January 15, targeting just four applicants under the Foreign Worker stream through the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot.
In recent updates, the OINP also confirmed a reduction in Ontario’s 2025 nomination allocation, which has been decreased to 10,750 total nominations for the year.
New Employer Of Interest (EOI) System
Ontario resumes PNP invitations after a four-month break. Starting July 2, Ontario will implement a new Employer of Interest (EOI) system for its Employer Job Offer streams.
This marks a significant change in how applicants engage with the PNP process. The new system will:
- Shift from an applicant-led to an employer-led model
- Require employers to first submit job details through a dedicated Employer Portal
- Transition from a paper-based application to a fully digital system
Applicants with existing EOIs in the system will need to coordinate with their employers to re-submit those EOIs once the new portal launches.
The updated EOI process will apply to the following streams:
- Foreign Worker Stream
- In-Demand Skills Stream
- International Student Stream
This new approach is aimed at increasing employer involvement and improving application processing efficiency within Ontario’s immigration program.
