Second biggest PNP draw of the year held by PEI

Prince Edward Island yet again held a draw dated 21st October 2021. In the recent draw, 204 potential immigration candidates were invited by the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program so that they apply for a provincial nomination. Among these 204 invitations, a majority of 195 went to the Labor Impact candidates and Express Entry. While the rest of the invitations belonged to Business Impact candidates who had a minimum eligibility score of 72 points granted in the immigration system in the province. For Prince Edward Island this is the tenth PNP draw that totals to 1,541 invitations in this year alone. The Provincial Nominee Program is on the lookout for particularly those candidates who fit well within the economic requirements of the province. This is followed by PEI too, which regulates the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) that adheres to the guidelines provided by the federal authorities. It is expected that the next Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee draw will take place on 18th November 2021.

What is PEI PNP Express Entry Category?

This is a modernized version of the Provincial Nominee Program. In a way, the federal government takes responsibility for the Express Entry System. This requires the potential migrating candidates to build a profile online, in the system. On the other hand, Express Entry manages all the immigration applications for the economic-class programs. The (CEC) Canadian Experience Class, (FSTP) Federal Skilled Trades Program, and (FSWP) Federal Skilled Worker Program. A CRS score is granted to the candidate on the factors such as their job experience, language proficiency, education, and others. The extended name of CRS is the Comprehensive Ranking System. All those who successfully receive a Provincial Nomination are awarded an extra 600 simultaneously which is instantly added to their overlaying score and thus increases the chance of their receiving an ITA (Invitation to Apply) in the next Express Entry draw for a permanent residency in Canada. Only those candidates will be eligible, who have registered an Expression of Interest (EOI) in the Prince Edward Island PNP. The Expression of Interest is granted according to the requirements set by the province. The monthly draws will then invite candidates who have scored the highest in the Comprehensive Ranking System.

Labour Impact Category

This category is specifically crafted for international skilled workers with a legit employment offer in Prince Edward Island and have the acknowledgment of their employer. The Labor Impact Category is further subdivided into three streams known as the:

All the candidates in the above-mentioned categories have to submit an EOI (Expression of Interest) to get a provincial nomination via Labor Impact Category.

Business Impact Category

Candidates in this classification must have the least score requirement to continue with the application process. The eligibility score differentiates in each draw held, according to the presence of the potential candidate and the cumulative score in the Express Entry Pool.
