5,000 Invitations issued in the last Express Entry draw of 2020

Canada has invited as many as 5,000 express entry candidates and the Comprehensive Ranking System score required has remained below 470 in this draw as well. Immigration candidates needed a minimum score of 468 only in order to be invited by IRCC.

Application Process for the Canada Express Entry

Candidates can apply for Canada PR through one of the three economic-class programs of the Express Entry – Federal Skilled Trades, Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Worker. To apply for the express entry immigration system, an interested candidate must fulfill all the requirements to be eligible for this Canadian Immigration System. Then, the eligible candidate has to submit his/her profile in the Express Entry pool. This profile acts as an Expression of Interest shown by the candidate for permanent residency in Canada. Once a profile is submitted, the candidate is awarded a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, which is eventually the deciding factor for securing an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence. For the past few months, Canada has been issuing a large number of ITAs in the express entry draws. It has happened four times consecutively now that the IRCC has issued 5,000 invitations in the Express Entry Draws since September. And with this latest express entry draw, the total number of invitations issued through the express entry immigration system this year has reached 107,350.
